FILIPINO-MADE "LIBERATO" LIGHT TACTICAL VEHICLE NOW READY FOR PRODUCTION Filipino company Anos Research Manufacturing posted that their 4x4 armored vehicle, which they now call the Liberato, is now ready for production. It would be remembered that Anos was working with Turkish company Cukurova Defense on the vehicle's design, which probably benefit from the Turkish company's experience. Another interesting note is the logo on the vehicle's hood, which doesn’t look like the logo of Anos, but of the Philippine Government Arsenal. Anos is trying to win the Philippine Army's Light Tactical Vehicle Acquisition Project and the Philippine Navy Tactical Combat Vehicle Acquisition Project, both of which are Horizon 2 projects under the Revised Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program. Both projects are currently delayed, maybe due to giving chance to local companies to catch up as they develop their own armored vehicles. Anos Light Tactical Vehicle uses a 4x4 military-grade cab and chassis engine. It has a payload capacity of 11 tons, which is ample for armor plating. As with the 6x6 chassis, we use parts that are similar to Japanese-made cars to make it easier to repair after-sales service to ensure a low life cycle cost. It appears to be capable of seating 11 troops including the driver and has a v-hull Stanag-3 design for improved passenger protection against improvised explosive devices and land mines, and body armor Stanag-2 protection. It would be remembered that the Philippine Army has a requirement for 200 units under its Horizon 2 procurement plan, although it could raise requirements for more units in the future.
