This 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 1978 Cutlass was downsized to the new version of GM's A-body with a shorter wheelbase. This Cutlass was lighter than earlier versions and it could be ordered with any of several engines built by GM's different divisions; a Buick 231 V6, Oldsmobile 260 V8, Pontiac 301 V8 or Chevrolet 305 V8s with either two- or four-barrel carburetors. This all original two owner Olds Cutlass has only 36663 actual miles and is equipped with the 305 V-8 with a two barrel carburetor. Pop the hood and you will see that this time capsule is intact and never has been molested. The exterior of this Cutlass still has it original Copper color paint with a white half vinyl top that was a popular trend in the late 80’s. Vinyl tops were slowly being phased out, but the partially covered hard tops were still appealing to many people who were buying these Cutlass’s. The paint is in good shape and really only needs a good buffing to make it really shine. The factory Olds Steel wheels with beauty rings look great and give this old Cutlass a nice sporty look. Inside this fine old ride you will an untouched interior that is in very good condition. This is a truly a survivor that has been well maintained. The front suspension has been gone through, so this car is ready to drive anywhere. A new dual exhaust system was recently with the chrome exhaust tips adding to the look and giving a nice mellow exhaust note from the 305 V-8 engine. The air conditioning system is intact, but will need a Freon charge in order to blow cold. Survivor cars are becoming an increasing popular trend, as they are easy to maintain or can used as a base for a new custom project or just fun car to drive around and enjoy.
