She is Scotland's Heroine and honored in Scotland. Flora is buried in her homeland on the Northern part of the Isle of Skye in Kilmuir. Flora showed Courage during the Jacobite uprising when she risked her life in saving Bonnie Prince Charlie on June 27, 1746. Dressing the Prince up in disguise as an Irish spinning maid, and sailing across the Minch to Skye.
