Honda motorcycle engine on CGS Hawk Ultralight leaves the runway

The project enters the next phase of testing and passes with "flying colors". April 24th 2010 the Hawk left the safety of the runway and we went around in wide pattern, which is about 5 miles each trip, a total of 8 times. The Honda engine performed flawlessly. It cruises level at 70MPH between 6200 and 6400RPM, which is a very comfortable range for this motor. It climbs out very briskly at around 8800RPM, and 60 MPH which could be maintained without harm to the engine almost indefinitely. My altimeter is acting up, but it appears to climb out at between 700 and 800 feet per minute. I had concerns that the 4" offset of the prop (because of the driveshaft output) would cause a torque effect, but if it does I did not feel it. The Honda GL500 engine water temperature was steady and cool, and it looks as though GPH will be in the neighborhood of 1-1/2 per hr.
