This build was really a wild one – but let’s start from the very beginning. I wanted to put together something between an off-road go-kart, a cross-kart, and a buggy. The result? A small, powerful, and agile machine that’s a lot of fun to drive. The steering still needs some fine-tuning, but overall the project turned out way better than expected. One of the biggest surprises was how well a cheap hydraulic pipe bender worked in combination with a simple electronic angle measurer. This setup opened up a ton of possibilities for bending frames and building with steel tubes – at a fraction of the price of pro equipment. Main details of the build: Engine: Suzuki, over 50 HP Front suspension and hubs: from a wrecked ATV 150 Frame built with 1” and 3/4” pipes Steering rack and complete steering system bought online Rear shock absorbers from an MZ 250 motorcycle A handful of “Hamburger knees” (pipe elbows) for frame joints The whole machine came together as a solid and surprisingly capable off-roader. There’s still room for upgrades, especially around the steering geometry – but for now, it’s a beast that puts a smile on your face.
