In this video I install the Powersteps from Tesstudio. I'm an old fatman crawling around on the garage floor, so if I can do it, anyone can. Would I rather pay a guy, sure, but at least I know how it all installs and works. If there is a problem, I know how to troubleshoot it. Issues I ran into: Step "Hinge" direction. The long section of the hinge should point to a tire. Front or back, doesn't matter. That long section should point to a tire. The Power needs to be reset each day after a deep sleep. So, you will have to go into the menu and "wake the steps up" each day. 2 people could probably get this done in an hour. Maybe less, if they're savey with Teslas. This video is NOT sponsored. I paid for everything. It's filmed on an iPhone 16 Pro. (UPDATE: After install, I had an issue where the power would not turn on. It would give an error. Constantly tapping on the power switch would eventually turn on the steps and they'd work for that day, then go back to no power. I solved this by replacing the 48V to 12V converter. I emailed Tesstudio several times, but never heard back from them, but since I fixed it myself, I moved on. Know that this might be a problem and you can always reach out to me if you experience it.
