This Kuchipudi Dance is part of the Virginia Group Fellowship series and is performed by dancers from Kalanidhi Dance from Maryland. This dance effortlessly melds the rhythmic variations of Kuchipudi with the different layers within the modern musical composition. The dancers showcase both brisk footwork and graceful hand gestures while moving through abstract formations. This piece, showcasing the intricate "nritta" or pure dance aspect of Kuchipudi, was choreographed by Ankitha Durvasula and performed by herself, Sahiti Rachakonda, and Pragnya Thamire. Music composed and sung by IndianRaga Fellow Vinod Krishnan, with flute by Vijay Venkatesh Kannan.
