MATHERAN TOY TRAIN : Full Journey Scenic Coverage from Matheran to Neral !!!

I had gone to Matheran for a day trip. On the way back I saw a short queue for tickets of the Matheran - Neral train so I decided to wait for it. I bought a ticket to Neral. I then waited for the train to come into the station. It was the 12:50 pm service to Neral. It departed from Matheran at 1:10 pm, twenty minutes late. After a brief halt at Aman Lodge station, we began the treacherous descent down the ghat. We went from the forest of Matheran to the mountainside with breathtaking views of the valley. We curved beautifully under the northern tip of Matheran and then continued down the other side of the mountain. After going over two level crossings, we arrived at Water Pipe station. There vendors were selling Vada Pav, Raw Mango and Frooti. After five minutes we departed and continued the descent. Throughout the journey you can see the railway staff standing between coaches. They manually control the hand-brakes on each coach to make sure the train doesn't roll faster and faster down the ghat. They have a very crucial and dangerous job. After a little while, we reached Jummapatti station where we halted for ten minutes. We honked and departed with a jerk as we started the final leg of our journey down to Neral. We went round the massive curves and finally came down to sea level. We crossed an express train on the mainline before finally pulling into Neral at 3:15 pm, two hours since departure.
