"I'm Really WORRIED!" | Retired Scotland Yard DCI SLAMS Labour's Crackdown On Uni 'Extremism'

New measures have been announced to support universities in tackling extremism and intimidation on campus, the Department for Education (DfE) said. A whistleblowing route is being developed for staff to raise wrongdoing, while a Campus Cohesion Charter will be created to strengthen respect and shared values across universities, the DfE added. The steps will help universities meet their Prevent duty – the legal requirement for providers to take action to stop people being radicalised and drawn into terrorism, according to the Government. The Office for Students will strengthen how it monitors whether universities are meeting Prevent responsibilities, ensuring institutions take appropriate action where serious concerns arise, the DfE said.
