Chevy 3500HD Rear Gears DESTROYED! Rear End Rebuild!

Light Duty trucks get more use and abuse than just about any other vehicle out there, and especially those in commercial fleets driven by people who don't own their vehicles. Today we're working a local commercial customers Duramax powered 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500HD and as you'll quickly see, this rear end is DESTROYED! With an American Axle & Manufacturing dually rear setup this unit IS designed for heavy duty usage however, as with many things it comes down to maintenance. Unfortunately this unit had developed a pinion leak from the rear end and been run low of fluid a couple of times. From the carnage we see there are two options, one replace the entire axle assembly, or two, replace all the wear items including bearings and seals, then installing and setting up a new ring and pinion. Some more rear end work is in order!
