Androecium: Composed of stamens, each stamens consist of anther and stalk like structure filament. Each anther is bilobed and each lobe consists of two pollen sacs. pollen grains are produced in the pollen sacs. A sterile stamen is called staminode. when stamens are attached to the petals, called epipetalous, when stamens are attached to the parianth called epiphyllous. If stamens are united in one bunch called monoadelphous, two bundles called diadelphous and more than two called polyadelphous. Gynocium: Is the female reproductive structure of flower made up of carpels. A carpels consist of stigma, style and ovary. Each ovary bears one or more ovules attached to the flattened, cushion like placenta. when more than one carpels present and are free called apocarpous and they are fused called syncarpous. Placentaion: arrangement of ovules in the ovary is known as placentation.
