Nigiri sushi is simply sliced raw fish with molded rice underneath and a strip of nori seaweed binding it together! Yutaka's Nigiri Sushi maker creates consistent beautifully shaped nigiri sushi. Our presenter Akemi Yokoyama is a Japanese cooking instructor teaching both beginner and advanced cooking courses in Japanese cuisine. This recipe makes 12 pieces of sushi, serving 2 Ingredients: • 12 slices of sushi grade fresh salmon • 480g sushi rice • 1/2 sheet of Yutaka Nori Seaweed • Yutaka Organic Tamari Soy Sauce • Yutaka Wasabi Paste You Need: A Yutaka Nigiri Sushi Maker. Directions: 1. Cut nori seaweed in half. Make 12 short strips of nori by cutting it at even thickness. 2. Wet the mould and your hands before use to prevent the rice from sticking. Remove excess water by patting on the dampened towel 3. Evenly fill the mould with rice 4. Press the lid down firmly 5. Gently tip the sushi rice by pressing the tabs at the back of the mould. If they are joined, gently pull them apart. 6. Add wasabi on one side of the salmon, place on top of the sushi rice, wasabi side facing down 7. Take a nori seaweed strip, bind a sushi rice and salmon together like a belt. The ends should stick to rice at the bottom 8. Repeat the process 9. Service with a small dish of soy sauce
