On August 6th, 2024, I was working on a Public Records Request story after having received tips from a local on behalf of their parents stating that they wanted to get public records in person at the Pierce County Environmental Services Building located at 9850 64th St W, University Place, WA 98467, but were denied records and that the process was difficult. Well, that is definitely true as you'll see here. Not only that, Pierce County seems intent on hiding PUBLICLY spent dollars from the public by not divulging which PUBLIC AGENCIES are leasing/renting a location for the day, with TAX DOLLARS. __________________________________________________________________________ The government needs to learn that the Press needs to have access to report on their behavior so We can all hold them to account as is appropriate.
