My mum used to sing to us around the barbecue or camp fire along with many old folk tunes from Joni Mitchell, John Denver, Neil Young and more. But the one that sticks out most for me is this one "Bobby McGee". Mum and I would sing harmonies together around the house and on long drives back from school. She really sparked the beginnings of my love of music, my love of harmony and my love of folk. And so this week's track goes out to her (though she can sing it much better than me!)
