In this travel video we're in the mood for a quick lunch so we head out to try a new Korean style Asian Fusion lunch set nearby Audrey's apartment in Yongin, Korea at J's Table that specializes in California rolls and Vietnamese Pho. We liked the trendy, artsy and modern type atmosphere and do it yourself self service where we grabbed our own complimentary Korean tea and cutlery. The food itself was delicious and light - the perfect lunch. We had fun slurping the pho while adding extra hot sauce with a cute heart in the middle. The assorted California rolls hit the spot and were our favorite of the two dishes. Overall, we enjoyed the Korean meal and would love to come back again soon if we have time before we leave Korea in a few days. For those interested in trying Korean fusion food, it's not difficult to find these kinds of restaurants that often have a Korean twist on either Western or other types of Asian cuisine. As a general tip while traveling and/or living in Korea: try different restaurants whenever you can. In the last few weeks we got out of our comfort zone and routines and hit up a bunch of new eateries in Audrey's neighborhood. What we discovered is that we found places that we wish we had of tried many months ago. The perfect time to go for lunch in Korea is around 11 to 11:30 before Korean office workers take lunch. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you'll be the first person in the restaurant and service will be very quick. We're sad to be leaving Korea. We've loved trying traditional Korean foods and fusion types of restaurants. This restaurant is quite similar to some of the other Korean fusion ones we've been to. It is sort of a self-serve type of place. You go up to the front and place your order. The menu is all up on the top. You just go and grab your own drinks and they bring you the food. You don't have to pay for it initially. It is pretty cool. We also got some complimentary teas with our meal. This is one of our last days in the neighborhood. We are leaving Korea in four days, so we're just grabbing a quick lunch and we have lots of packing to do. We need to ship things home and just get lots of things done in the coming days. We're running out of time. What do we have here? This is our beef Pho. It is Vietnamese with a Korean twist here. Isn't that cute! A little hearty in the sauce. One tip we have for those eating lunch in Korea is if you come early - a lot of the restaurants open between eleven and eleven thirty - if you come right at eleven thirty chances are you may be the only person there. We're putting in a sweet and spicy sauce into the Pho just for some taste. Swirl that around. Miss Audrey here is trying the California rolls. How are they? It is really good sushi. They make it well. This is our Vietnamese Pho. We have some plain noodles in here and some bean sprouts with a little bit of beef and some greens as well. We've added some hot sauce to give it more flavor. It is really nice and spicy. Does it get your stamp of approval? It does indeed. One thing we're both going to really miss when we leave is the Korean kinds of food. I mean not just Korean food but all the different kinds of food we've had in Korea such as the Korean western food, the Korean fusion food and the traditional Korean food. Everything! We just love to eat if you haven't noticed. I think they have. Overall, this was a nice light but very rewarding lunch. It is also very affordable.
