Look Sharp: media literacy in digital education ecosystem

The Erasmus project "Look Sharp: media literacy in digital education ecosystem" aimed at advancing professional and personal development of youth workers. In a multicultural setting the participants gained competencies of how to teach media and digital literacy to young people through non-formal education. The project helped the trainees to review, refresh, and update their current knowledge and skills and address these in the context of our youth work practice. The specific objectives of this project are: • improving the capacities of youth workers to acquire a critical understanding of information in social media and exploring main elements of media and digital literacy; • developing youth workers’ ability to distinguish information from disinformation by analysing digital media communication; • supporting professional and personal development of those who work in education, training and youth fields by improving their soft skills; • exchanging best practices about media literacy that can be transferred to various contexts of youth work; • promoting non-formal learning and cooperation in the field of youth work in EU.
