Wow, what fun this is! Easier than it looks! I should have said more about the 'fusing' of the 'light steam-a-seam 2' product..but, if you are going to try it, follow the directions on the packaging. Note: When I had my bird just the way I wanted him, I lifted him (on the netting) off of the gray scale photo and took him to the ironing board. With a piece of cooking parchment under and also on top, I pressed him with a hot iron to fuse him all together.. he became all one piece! Then, I added the lace with fabric glue. I used him as I would any applique. He is not fused to the background, only hand stitched.
