If you where a teenager in the 2000s than there’s a very good chance Evanescence saved you from yourself. Lead by Amy Lee and Ben Moody, the group dominated MTV in the early 2000s with their heavy, emotional intense sound that was influenced from the likes of Pantera and Nirvana to Bjork and Portishead. In this rare interview they talk about their early gigs and recordings and the challenge they faced when Moody left the group after their first album. His replacement, Terry Balsamo also opens up about the stroke he suffered whilst recording the Open Door album and how that experience inspires him to this day.
