This is part one of a three video series on building a phase converter. This part is the heart of the subject. I will lay out the entire converter on a large sheet of plywood so you can easily see how I put things together. We will select the correct capacitors and test run the converter under load. Part 2 and 3 will be about adding safety and convenience items, then mounting it all in an enclosure and wiring it up in the shop.
