Today I compare three different ways to record dirty guitar tones - the Marshall Studio Vintage combo, a Fender Princeton Reverb with Catalinbread DLS pedal, and a Universal Audio Lion plug-in on the same track to see how they stack up. For the sake of today's video, I increased the levels of the highlighted guitars slightly in the mix to make them a bit more pronounced. I used the bridge pickup of my Mustang for every sound example. Amp, pedal, and plug in settings are shown during the isolated sound segments.
