Cheow Lan Lake, Thailand Hidden Gems is in Khao sok National Park , Surat Thani #Thailand There’re not many people foreigner tourists talking about this but it’s more for Thai tourists who love to take a break from hectic life to be away from WIFI or (some resorts) Electricity. Cheow Lan lake is part of a dam, where it’s built in 1987 for producing electricity for the southern region of Thailand. Originally, it was part of Wildlife Sanctuaries of Khao Sok National park. After the government gave a permission to make a dam, the wildlife animals (338 species of them) have to be removed for safety before water would be filled. As same as forest had been cut down, which it took 3 years to make it done. After that this lake become to be such a peaceful with emerald water color which it makes tourists love to come all year long I tries to put a lot of information into this video as much as I can for less than 10 mins of my video. I hope it’s useful for you who love to get to know about us better than just enjoying a scenery of the lake. Thailand is beautiful.
