Please excuse me for my bad english in this video. My native language is Dutch, but I do my best.... In this video , I want to show the difference between a single sweep measurement , multiple sweeps averaged and a moving microphone measurement (MMM) all done with REW around the listening position of my home theatre. A single sweep in the listening position can not be used as a reference to equalize a roomcurve Multiple sweeps around the measuring position averaged is what receivers with Audyssey or YPAO use and it is a better way of measuring but time consuming. The Moving Microphone Measurement is less known but in my opinion the one to use to have a good look at your system at the measuring position and the one to use if you are planning to equalize to a certain roomcurve. For this MMM, you use the frequency generator and the RTA in REW. It also gives consistent results, when done multiple times after each other . It is also a quick and handy method of measuring.
