Guarulhos - Discovering this vibrant City in São Paulo State! (Part 1)
Guarulhos is a fascinating city, and one that I have long been curious to get to know. It is a world famous place for its international airport, but I was interested to find out that it had a populations of 1.3 million people meaning that it is a very big place. Although it is right next to São Paulo, it is a city in its own right with its own council and importantly its own character. It was great getting to know this fantastic city and all that it has to offer, albeit for one day only! It is one of the most vibrant high streets that I've seen in Brazil. This is the "calçadão" and is a pedestrianised shopping street. I'm always amazed and impressed by the retail sector in Brazil and this was a great example of it.
