[PART ONE] Alriiight for yall Americans who hate being in America, whether it's because you studied abroad somewhere ONCE many years ago and you just can't let go after one taste of that lifestyle, or you dated someone over there once and after one taste of that..yes, the covid travel ban between the US and Europe has been extremely frustrating and depressing. I've been right there all spring-summer 2020, especially since I had been planning and preparing for almost 2 years, to move to France for grad school. I applied to schools in March 2020, right around when covid really hit, got acceptances around May, but didn't know if I would be able to go or not, since the french gov didn't tell me yes OR NO on whether students will be an exception in the travel ban. I waited May, June, July, August, with lots of uncertainty and lots of ups and downs in motivation for life. Waking up each day hoping for some kind of update...like just tell me no if it's gonna be a no, so I can then plan a different path for my future, instead of keeping me waiting in the dark???
