Driving My MK2 Escort Home

A small run down on this car. I bought it in 2007 and learnt to drive on my Ls and Ps with it. The engine finally kicked the bucket in 2011 where it was stored away until 2018 where I removed the engine and had it rebuilt. I reinstalled the rebuilt engine and replaced the clutch and throw out bearing at the same time. Once everything was reinstalled and I went on my initial test drive everything was good apart from the horrific grinding noise when the clutch pedal was applied. Attempted to remove the gearbox but ran into some difficulties so decided to remove the engine and box together. Got everything ready to do so and that's when I put it back in storage. Now in 2023 I've finally got stuck back into getting it back on the road with intentions to hopefully get it to Small Ford Show in Feb 2024.
