Hello! First and foremost, in these videos, descriptions or thumbnails or anything else pertaining to this series I wish to do- if I do anything that is harmful to any community please help educate me. I wish nothing but love when it comes to this series I wish to do. In today's video I just wanted to shine a light the beauty that is diversifying reading. I was starting with black authors but as of me writing this description I have realized that I started with one of the most marginalized groups: black women. In life, diversity is a beautiful thing and its no less so in reading. There is so much that one can read from a fictional novel just from the author's live experience they pull from. My goal is for this to be the start of a long lived series shining a spotlight on more marginalized authors. And as a queer woman, the importance in visibility as it can give you the ability to learn what it is like in someone else's shoes in a way that not much else can.
