Is plotting using a formula good or bad? We are going to look at Blake Snyder's template - the 15 story beats from "Save The Cat" to try to find the answer. Most of my conclusions and recommendations will apply more broadly to any fixed formula. Are you about to start your first novel? Have you finished a draft, which just... doesn't work?
