But first we need to take off the original pads. We placed the modified snare pad there, as we do not have the original snare. The new pads are a bit heavier than the Roland Pads but the MDS-9 rack is steady enough to deal with their weight. They will be mounted to the same L-rods. We apply the memory clamps which came with the Gibraltar mounts. It can be tricky to arrange the kit on such a small rack, as the pads are bigger in diameter.
