This upload is dedicated to the memory of Junior Hepburn of the Floormasters breakdance crew, Peterborough, UK. RIP Junior. Breaker's Revenge featured in arguably the most iconic scene of the 1984 movie Beat Street; during the Roxy breakdance battle between Rock Steady & NYC Breakers. The 7" edit is re-shaped and shortened from the soundtrack version which itself is an edit of the full vocal mix released on Atlantic 12". Written and produced by Arthur Baker who, by this point in the 1980's, had already been pivotal in making ground-breaking music during the early years of electro funk, joining the dots with productions for Soul Sonic Force, Rockers Revenge, Freeez and New Order among many others.
