Welcome to Perky's Analog Gear Demos. Please subscribe for more demos of vintage & rare effects pedals! It's new guitar day at Camp Perky! Yesterday, I went on a 100-mile road trip to South Somerset and back to buy this beautiful instrument: a Heritage H-535 dating from 2011. Currently, it's completely stock...I am going to change the electronics up a little in the coming days. But before I do, I wanted to shoot a demo of it in its original form. Completely handmade the old fashioned way by ex-Gibson employees in the original Kalamazoo Gibson plant, using the old Gibson machinery, this is arguably the most "authentic" ES-335 you can buy. In 2016 the company was (at least in part) sold off to a conglomerate, with talk on various forums of CNC machines now coming in to replace the old luthiers - but this model is from the so-called "golden years" when the Gibson old boys were still in charge and carving everything with their bare hands. What do you think? The ultimate "Custom Shop ES-335"? Or would you prefer a Gibbo? What do you think of the headstock? What would Mark Agnesi say? ;-) Comment below! Guitar recorded through a Dr Z Z-Wreck (Celestion AlNiCo Gold...Aston Spirit Condenser; '70s Sennheiser MD441; and sE RNR1 ribbon microphones) with a Schoeps CMC6 room mic. jp@joeperkins.co.uk Vector images by freepik.com
