Organising my Fabric Stash + Making a Fabric Catalogue!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new video! Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed by your previous life decisions? Me too! One of my critical flaws is that I cannot say no: if someone offers me old sheets for mock-up fabric, I say yes; if someone has an old belt buckle they're through out, yes sure might be handy in the future; if someone is getting rid of their old stash of embroidery stabiliser I say, yes, I'll use it for -something-! So here we are. Since I started sewing, I've moved houses four times, and each time I have cut back on what I hoard and yet, there is so much left. I definitely get emotionally attached to a fabric - or at least, to the costume or project my mind fabricated when I first saw it. So here is a look at my stash as I organise after my most recent (and hopefully last) house move. I wanted to use this opportunity to re-visit projects I'd forgotten about and to make a fabric catalogue, so that I can easily access and know what's in my stash. My goals in sewing is to sew through the stash first, and to buy less, so here's to an organised, stash-busting 2025!
