This was our 2nd time visiting White Tank Regional Park outside of Phoenix and is one of our favorite parks for desert camping! The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful, and at night, you can see the lights of Phoenix twinkling in the distance. 🌆 We headed out after seeing our first coyote to 🐴 Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch 🐴 to visit our new friend, Steve and his wife, Susan, who own the place. We met Steve in Glacier National Park over peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the summer before. He was there on vacation with Susan and their sons, and after sharing our story, he invited us to stop by and visit his guest ranch if we were ever in the Phoenix area. 💥We are asked often about how we find various opportunities to see places or to volunteer on the road, and our answer is this: share your story with others and when they invite you to visit their home or business - just say YES! Be willing to go and have a new adventure. In our experience, it is always worth the time, effort and sometimes extra miles!👍 We got the full tour and history of the property from Steve, and he even arranged for Jess and the girls to have a trail ride the next day. Corey droned while the girls rode horses which made all of us very happy! We finished up our visit with a hike to see 500 year old petroglyphs! 🌀 We can’t thank Steve, Susan and their team at the Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch enough for their hospitality! Although the ranch is not open for RV camping, you are able to stop by for day use and enjoy the incredible trail rides!
