We continue our 100 days of Hornby Celebration with the Hornby Railways R.758 - Class 35 Hymek in British Railways Green. Originally released by Tri-ang in 1967 as R.758 in BR Green, the Hymek was released in BR Green under Hornby Railways from 1977 until 1979. It was also the loco provided in the 1977 Freightmaster set. While the Hornby Railways Hymek was released as R.040, mine has Hornby Railways with the Tri-ang product code R.758 stamped on it. Perhaps its one of the early 1977 models and Hornby were using up spare parts on hand? Have any favorite memories or suggestions for the Tri-ang layout, please comment below.
