Dickson Chan plays 'See Amid the Winter's Snow' on the 1898 Norman & Beard organ of St Patrick's Catholic Cathedral, Parramatta. 'See Amid the Winter's Snow,' which dates from 1851, was one of around 60 original hymns written by Edward Caswall (1814-1878), whose main hymn output - involving more than 250 hymns - comprised translations. 'Humility' was published in 1871, the work of John Goss (1814-1878), a singer, organist, composer and teacher who was Professor of Music at the RAM from 1827 to 1884 and Organist of St Paul's Cathedral from 1838 to 1872.
