Robocoaster animation demo- Inventor workflow to 3ds Max Design 2012

Shawn Hendricks and I worked on this workflow demo for the Manufacturing summit event in 2011. The animation component of the demo (Shawn's part) is still a relevant workflow today and might help the Inventor users get started so I have decided to release this demo to the public. You can import both Autodesk Inventor native IPT and IAM file formats into 3ds Max Design. The objects that you import into 3ds Max Design retain their naming as assigned in Autodesk Inventor and can be brought in either as editable mesh or Body Objects. Once imported, you can edit the model just as you would any other type of object that you construct. You can apply modifiers, alter materials, add lighting and cameras, create animations, and so on. This demo will show you how to animate an Inventor assembly in 3ds Max Design.
