One of the many full-length albums by Japanese musician (Tokyo, Japan) Susumu Yokota, released in 2005 by Lo Recordings. Sadly, he passed away in 2015. It was first released under Susumu Yokota's label Skintone Records in 2004 and later by Lo Recordings in 2005. Both CDs are now out of print. Another gem in my collection :) Donations: https://paypal.me/goadiroth If you guys enjoy my content and would like to donate I'd appreciate it so much ♥ Tracklisting: [ 00:00 ] long long silk bridge [ 03:00 ] purple rose minuet [ 06:34 ] traveler in the wonderland [ 10:54 ] song of the sleeping forest [ 15:11 ] the plateau which the zephyr of flora occupies [ 17:37 ] fairy dance of twinkle and shadow [ 21:54 ] flaming love and destiny [ 26:49 ] the dying black swan [ 29:10 ] blue sky and yellow sunflower [ 33:07 ] capriccio and the innovative composer [ 35:30 ] i close the door upon myself. But hopefully not; it's a great album ;) From the label's website: The late Susumu Yokota’s ‘Symbol’ is thought by many to be his masterpiece. An extraordinary piece of work, that fuses classical music with ambient, world and electronic music into a breathtaking genre-defying kaleidoscope of sound. Repeated listens draw the listener deeper into his world, and reveal the true scope of Yokota’s achievement. Featuring the incredible voice of avant garde composer/vocalist Meredith Monk, ‘Symbol’ includes pieces by Debussy, Mahler, Ravel, Tchaikovsky and even Beethoven, interwoven with synth washes and electronic filigree, re-imagined in the fecund imagination of Yokota. ----------- written and produced by susumu yokota design by susumu yokota under exclusive license to lo recordings from skintone records, japan ℗ + © lo recordings 2005 catalog#: lcd45 barcode: 666017084527 made in england
