I attempt to help my friend out by cleaning the IAC on his 2001 Toyota Highlander. I watch a video online that told me that everything had to come off...but like in today's times, you have to take everything with a grain of salt...what a weird way of saying if it sounds to good to be true than it probably is or isn't..Always try to find better solutions to save time, and never make the same mistake twice. Symptoms: It would start but stalled immediately unless you applied throttle. If you are capable of using both feet on the gas and brake, you can drive a vehicle in a pinch to get it to the shop.
