Dorset Dredge - the Cut

After viewing the excellent Ben Bishop's collection of Dorset Dredge photos, I was impressed by the shear magnitude of the work involved in dredging the Ringarooma River, especially the fact that they had to move it through a hill to get to new ground. Blasting a 600m long channel ot cut was needed to move the 900 ton monster and I thougth surely some signs of this deep channel must still be seen. The search was on and this is the video of what we found and a reconstruction of what it might have looked like at the time. As fas as possible I have placed the original images in the same place thet were originally taken.
