On December 1st of 2016, during an unplanned road trip throughout Cusco, we found ourselves visiting an area that we were inexplicably drawn to. Unbeknownst to us, we had decided to skywatch and observe, near the Templo de la Luna (the Moon Temple). Beyond Cusco’s Temple of the Moon is an open area that has a number of Huacas, sacred sites. The remarkable thing about these carved stone shrines is the difference in weathering. These carvings represent a vast difference in the time of creation. Tt seems highly unlikely that the Incas made all these carvings. The stonemasons were either enormously patient, or had some way of shaping stone that is completely lost to us. Various methods have been suggested. Perhaps there was a plan that could soften stone. Or perhaps they had some way of melting stones with heat. These suggestions seem a little far-fetched, but less so than another oft-suggested answer: It was aliens that did it. After several hours in both the daylight and night, we decided to use our iPhone cameras and take photos into the air and at ground level, in succession, every two (2) seconds. Two days later, Rob Freeman was going through the photos and discovered the ‘Cusco craft’, an image that did not appear in the picture just before or just after, all within the same spot. No one saw this object during the moment it was taken. Luis is the former head of a Pentagon-initiated secret Department of Defense program, in relation to Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification. On October 4, 2017, he submitted his resignation as he disagreed with the excessive secrecy and internal opposition that he faced on a daily basis. He later joined To The Stars Academy, an initiative to “mobilize the brightest minds from within the shadows of aerospace, science, and the Department of Defense.” Luis’ initial assessment of the image was very informative and adds another layer to the mystery of the ‘Cusco craft’.
