The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is built for freedom — the kind that starts where the road ends. In this video, we show you how to install the Longride saddlebag holders made specifically for the Himalayan 450, and how several of our signature saddlebags look once mounted. Whether you ride to explore mountain trails or the empty backroads, this guide helps you set up your bike for the adventure ahead. 👉 Saddlebag holders shown in the video: https://longride.com/collections/roya... 🧰 Tools & Installation Steps Tools required: Rear fender bolts (must be removed to access the mounting nuts) — 10 mm wrench or socket Factory mounting bolts — 12 mm wrench or socket + 6 mm Allen key Supplied bolts — 13 mm wrench or socket + 6 mm Allen key Steps: Remove the seat. Unscrew the two upper bolts securing the rear fender. (You can slightly loosen the two inner fender bolts if needed, but our tests show it isn’t necessary.) Gently create space between the fender and the frame to reach the rear mounting points. Remove the original bolts holding the bracket — we recommend doing one side at a time while keeping all four bolts slightly loose. Fit the small spacers at the front and the large spacers at the rear. Mount the new brackets. Tighten all fender bolts securely. Reinstall the seat. ⚠️ Important: Always consult the owner’s manual of your motorcycle for torque settings and safety notes that may not be covered in this video. 👜 Choosing the Right Saddlebags All Longride saddlebags are compatible with the Himalayan 450. However, with our larger models — especially the Super Patriot — clearance near the exhaust can be tight. Fortunately, both our systems allow you to adjust the position easily: Saddleback system: Set the straps to the highest position for added clearance. Sidekick system: Mount the claw lower on the Super Patriot SK so the bag sits higher and further from the exhaust. 🧭 Bags featured in this video: Roadmaster panniers → https://longride.com/collections/quic...
