Welcome to Lesson 16! 🚌 Taking the subway in China is easy, but taking the bus? That is the real challenge! Buses are the cheapest way to get around Chinese cities, but the signs are often only in Chinese characters. If you don't want to end up on the wrong side of town, you need to know how to ask the driver the right questions. In this video, we master the essential vocabulary for Buses (Gōnggòng qìchē). ❤️ Support my work & help this channel grow: →☕ [Buy me a coffee] : https://ko-fi.com/tiantianchinese →❤️ [Patreon – Check class notes!] : / tiantianchinese →📚 [Fiver- Book 1-1 Class] : https://www.fiverr.com/s/99QKr2A ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In this video, you will learn: ✅ Finding the Stop: The difference between a regular "Bus stop" (Gōnggòng qìchē zhàn) and a big "Bus station" (Zǒngzhàn). ✅ Schedules: How to ask "When is the next bus?" (Xià liàng chē shénme shíhou lái?). ✅ The Fare: Asking "How much is the fare?" (Duōshao qián?). ✅ Confirming the Route: The most important question: "Does this bus go to...?" or "Does number 4 stop here?" (4 lù chē zài zhè tíng ma?). ✅ Payment: Asking "Can I pay on the bus?" or "Where can I buy a ticket?". ✅ Destinations: How to ask which bus goes to the "City Center" (Shìzhōngxīn). Don't be afraid of the local bus system – it's the best way to see the real city! 👇 Homework Challenge: Let's practice asking about the route. Translate this into Pinyin: "Does this bus go to the airport?" (Hint: Airport = Jīchǎng) Write your answer in the comments!
