Back on August 6, 2011, Echoes End took the stage at Wild Bill’s in Duluth, GA, delivering a high-octane opening set for none other than the southern rock icons themselves — .38 Special. Yep, that .38 Special. Armed with a full arsenal of original material and a whole lot of adrenaline, we hit the stage in front of a packed house that came for classic rock and left with a taste of post-hardcore grit and raw Georgia energy. We only broke form once — closing out the set with a heavy-as-hell cover of “Your Betrayal” by Bullet for My Valentine, which may or may not have melted a few faces near the front row. This was one of those nights where the energy in the room was impossible to fake — southern rock legends waiting in the wings, our gear plugged into the biggest sound system we'd ever seen, and a sea of people ready for something loud, honest, and real.
