This is a cathartic time for teams to get everything out of their heads and onto a piece of paper, of things that are their hopes, their dreams, things they want to make better, they want to solve or make go away. A lot of times teams have this misconception that issues have to be negative, I like to encourage my teams to put anything on there that they want to solve. I'll give you an example in our company. Right now we have an issue on our Issues List which is the team building day. We want to treat the team and go out and have a really nice time together, so our brainstorm is going to be around what should we do as a team, what should be a treat for us in our next quarter to do together. So remember, issues are both positive and negative. Anything you want to solve and make go away in your business, put it on your Issues List.
