Solemn Mass according to the Ancient Carmelite Rite, the Rite of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, in honor of St. Elias, on July 19, 2020 Celebrant: Father Lucian Beltzner, OCarm Deacon: Father Donald Kloster Subdeacon: Mr. James Griffin Homilist: Father Nicholas Blackwell, OCarm Carmelite Friars of the Saint Elias Province in choir. This event was sponsored by the Vocations Department of the Carmelite Friars of the St. Elias Province, with support from Laudate Omnes, the Latin Mass Society of the Hudson Valley, the Durandus Institute and a schola under the direction of Eva Sze. This Mass is in honor of the father and leader of the Carmelite order and patron of the province, the Prophet Elijah, and was offered with the support and encouragement of Father Mario Esposito, OCarm, Prior Provincial of the St. Elias Province at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
