Prior to construction, however, I’ll try to kick start the patina / aging processing. I estimate I can tack on a few months of aging at the onset, but no more. I don’t want much more than that, because the very act of leather aging tells its own story. I’m not looking for a completely fake story. My goal is simply to get it started right out of the gate. Give it a head start, if you will. Natural patina will develop over time when it absorbs and displays the world around it.
