I thought my times with the C7 were a good bit faster than my e36 car, then I looked at the Aug 2023 event and wow, almost identical times 1:40.16 and .18. How do they do it? Up until T7 and apparently on to the straight the e36 carries an advantage!!!! One other thought is that the C7 is actually equal time to the e36 until it passes it on the straight somewhere after the esses end at T5, so that's pretty good as well. These cars really munch T6 for sure Then we can look at the C7 a PB at 1:39.47 vs. the 1:40.16. Then I slow both of them down. In the end the e36 is near max development, has a tall 3.23 stock diff ratio, I have a 3.46 gear set. Could be lighter but that ruins all the advantages of the car, with no tow vehicle The C7 is understressed and still lap time fast. Very few mods! Slowly that will change, first up is larger brakes. The S54 build in the e36 I used some boutique rod bearings that failed so just use OEM!!!!
