Be the person I needed to see and hear when I was deep in desperation. 🪼 A little bit about my journey: I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 shortly after my 22nd birthday once admitting myself to a psychiatric hospital. We didn’t even know it ran in the family until six years before that. From the moment I got home I searched endlessly on YouTube for information, guidance, validation and a sign that there could be even a spec of enjoyment or normality past the intensity of emotions I was experiencing. I quickly found others, elders, (as I call all others that have come before me) that helped immensely. Thank you. However non that were young and looked like me that I felt connected to.
