Here's a breakdown of how Software Engineers calculate their total compensation. This is important so you can understand how you're being paid and whether you're being paid fairly. It's important to have a general formula for all offers you see. We go over salaries for new grads for Google, Lyft, and Amazon and calculate the packages by weighing base salary, stocks/grants, annual bonuses, and sign on bonuses.
