DO NOT bring loose articles on your rides with you, don't film without the permission of the ride operators and without using fixed camera equipment while being on a ride! I had both. Safety first everyone. PHOENIX!!! I'm super excited to have ridden this beauty again. This machine is super wonderful. I would so love to have a go at controlling it. (I would choose other music though. Yeah... I think most of you can agree) Anyway, this is Phoenix, a "Heartbreaker" built by Mondial and owned by german showman Staudenrausch. While it looks tiny (I mean, becuse it is) don't let it fool you. Size sure does not matter. The dutch are mad when it comes to designing rides, and this small powerhouse shows that. The movement is close to the "Scheibenwischer" models, or "Miami" style of ride. But: The rotation has a bit of an angle, and the gondolas swing freely. If the showman times giving gas or slowing down correctly (similar control skill to a top spin) then the ride has some wicked inversions. And this showman really knows how to control it. Some inverions provide fantastic hangtime, some provide fast flips for dizzy moments and the non inverting moments have some nice airtime. This ride has some bite, but it's nothing really crazy intense. Might even be a good choice for a kid that wants to try out inverting rides. It's also very comfortable in my opinion. The restrains rather tight on the thighs, but it's not too bad. It doesn't hurt. For maximum comfort, sit on the insice. The outer seats can have a bit of a rattle, so you could hit your head on the restrains a bit, but nothing crazy. The design is fantastic I think. Nothing crazy that takes a lot of space, but also great colors and artwork that make it look like a beautiful complete package. Bonus points for me: Great sound of the motors, music to my ears mate. TLDR: One of my fav rides, I love this thing to bits! As always: The videos are free to use, as long as you give me credit for my footage and my edits.
