Gemza Growing up in a family of passionate musicians, music was an integral part of Gemza’s life from early on. Being influenced by rock, pop and R n’ B in her childhood and teenage years, it wasn’t until her early 20s that Gemza was fully introduced to the world of electronic music. To her, it was like the final missing piece of the puzzle was discovered. Around that time Prishtina’s electronic music scene was fully thriving again, with clubs and promoters brining some of the world’s most influential DJs to perform in the capital city. No doubt this was an important factor which influenced Gemza to discover and pursue her passion. Going to these parties was like going to school. There she had the chance to learn about the many styles of electronic music, about selection and mixing alike. She felt a close connection to the scene, which added to her inherent adoration for the genre. This led to the urge to give DJing a go herself. While at first she was hesitant to make that leap in her life, a few encouraging self-affirmations and Gemza fell even deeper in love with the art and has since been playing music steadily at various venues and events in Kosovo and abroad.
